California Academy of Sciences - Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA

Yesterday, Andrew and I spent the day in San Francisco with our friends Ryan and Jennie.  We decided that we would check out the California Academy of Sciences which is located in Golden Gate Park just across from the de Young Museum.WOW - such a neat place.  My favorite, although we did not get to see all of it this trip, was the aquarium.  Not only did you get to see it from above, when you go downstairs you are eye-level with 100's of living creatures.  The academy features a planetarium, rain forest, and a living roof just to list a few.  It will definitely be a place that we will return to soon.

We also drove over to Fort Point which is located just under the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We watched surfers enjoying the beautiful day, freighters coming into the bay to unload their cargo from around the world, and kite surfers cutting into the winds flowing in to the bay.  The beauty and diversity of the San Francisco bay just stounds me. I can't imagine another place being as incredible.
